In reality, the challenges in world’s integration era, along with the needs to attract, retain talents (professional staff, with experience and management skills), have become “hot” issues in management, project work, production and business. The role of consulting companies and consultants has become more appreciated, especially through the view of leading companies, which have far visions and strategies. Dong Lam Cement Joint Stock Company is one of them.
Since September 2008, Director of DTK Consulting has taken on also the role of HR Management Advisor for General Director of Dong Lam Cement Joint Stock Company. So besides “tactic” recruitment support activities, “head-hunting”, HR consulting as “mini” projects, DTK Consulting has started a more “strategic” mission!
Dong Lam Cement Joint Stock Company is now constructing a factory producing clinker in Hue City, Thua Thien Hue province. A part of clinker will be ground here to make cement and to be supplied for the market of Central Vietnam. Most of the clinker will be transported to Ho Chi Minh City for being ground, packed and supplied for Southern market. DTK Consulting will continue updating relating information from the HR management point of view.
To do the HR advisory role well, besides having a good hold of HR management theory and good practices, trends and needs, DTK Consulting must understand more about a specific industry - cement industry. The simple reason is that in any field, HR management practicians have to understand the industry’s basic issues in order to do the work well. With the advisor’s role, responsibilities and challenges are there at higher level.
In the next period, the opportunities, challenges and success of Dong Lam Cement and DTK Consulting will go together. DTK Consulting’s strategic strengths will contribute to the success in HR advisory work for Dong Lam Cement. Vice versa, Dong Lam Cement’s development will be also DTK Consulting’s pride.
