On 28 October 2008, there have been three significant events:
- (Re)opening of Embassy of Slovak Republic in Hanoi.
- Round-table conference on Vietnam-Slovak economic relationship.
- Prime Minister Robert Fico met with Vietnamese graduates of universities of Slovak Republic.
The meeting has taken place in a warm-hearted and friendly atmosphere. Many graduates came over from the South and the Central part of Vietnam to attend this significant event. Mr Robert Fico highly appreciated the roles and the contribution of Vietnamese graduates of Slovak universities in developing and strengthening the economic relations and friendship between Slovak Republic and Vietnam.
