* Academic content: I think it is thoroughly written. I now can apply many principles learnt for my business, confidently.
* Time pace: Order of courses taken by student is flexible.
Study time: Maximum 7 years from passing the first exam.
* The e-learning material can effectively help the student to study and review, step by step.
* The school brand name: I myself am proud of it.
* Demands: The student must be patient, proactive in setting time for self-study, without direct interactions. Also, s/he should command very good (academic) English reading and writing skills.
* Exams: There are two major exam diets per year, one in June, one in December. Vietnam does not have majnor diets.
* Progress: If the student can sit on 3 subjects each year, then s/he can complete the programme in 3 years. The shortest time to complete the programme, therefore, totally depends on the capacity of the student (how many exams per diet he/she can do).
* Courses: 7 compulsory and 2 selective subjects (courses)
- Compulsory: Organizational Behavior, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Project Management, Strategic Planning.
- Selective: 2 courses.
There are many selective courses.
EBS MBA has a number of specialisations, and students are recommended to choose the 2 selective courses belonging to the specialisation they would aim at. Later on, when they decide to take the Specialised MBA, they need to take on further 2 courses of the relevant specialisation.
* Costs: As I remember (Khang)
- Each course costs GBP800 (pls check on EBS website for all relevant details)
- The exam (resit) fee is GBP100/course/exam.
- Graduation fee: GBP45 (not including travelling/accom costs etc if the student wants to go to Edinburgh to attend graduation ceremony).
- If passing all exams at the first attemp, the total cost is (GBP):
9*800+9*100+45 = GBP 8,145.00
* Entry: EBS MBA has open entry. In other words, no entrance exam is required. The student is recognised as matriculated after passing 2 compulsory subjects.
* Place to sit on exams: in Hanoi it is the British Council; in Hochiminh City, it is an institution approved by EBS.
